Premium Services give users the ability to ask unlimited questions to Experts around the globe and to search over 8,900 proven FoxPro solutions. As a Premium Service member, you receive instant email notifications when comments are added to questions that you have asked or participated in. This allows members and Experts to collaborate to quickly find solutions.
Questions that need an answer are called Open Questions. To view a list of Open Questions click Answer A Question in the top navigation. You will see a list of Open Questions on the resulting page. If you see one that you think you can answer, select it and post a comment.
Points are used to indicate the urgency or difficulty of a question; the more points you offer, the more likely you are to get a quicker response. The points are not a reward for an answer; they are your advertising. The maximum number of points that may be offered for a question is 500.
Question points are points that you use to ask questions, if you are a Premium Service member of FoxPro Answers, you have unlimited question points. If you do not have Premium Services, you can earn them as a FoxPro Expert.
Expert points are points that Experts receive when they answer your question and you choose their answer as your solution. The Experts use these points to earn ranks and certifications.
When you close your question, the points you offered are multiplied by a factor dependent on the grade you give:
- A grade uses a factor of 4
- B grade uses a factor of 3
- C grade uses a factor of 2
So if your question is worth 300 points, and you give a B grade, the Expert will receive 900 points. Those points are added to their Expert point total.
